Sempron SocketA [ SDA 2500 DUT3D ]
Sempron of the SocketA version is a product that changes the brand name from Athlon XP. Therefore, the function is the same as Athlon XP. In the feature, the method of calculating the model number is quite different from Athlon XP, and FSB is 167MHz.
The start up multiplier of Sempron cannot be changed because it is fixed.
The multiplier can be confirmed from the L3 bridge also with this CPU. However, anything doesn't change even if this is changed.
Comparison of Model number
Multiplier | Clock (FSB167) | Sempron L2=256k | Athlon XP L2=256k | Comparison with Celeron D |
9.0x | 1500MHz | 2200+ | (1800+) | - |
9.5x | 1583MHz | 2300+ | (1900+) | - |
10.0x | 1667MHz | 2400+ | 2000+ | Celeron D 320 (2.40GHz) |
10.5x | 1750MHz | 2500+ | - | Celeron D 325 (2.53GHz) |
11.0x | 1833MHz | 2600+ | (2200+) | Celeron D 330 (2.66GHz) |
11.5x | 1917MHz | - | - | - |
12.0x | 2000MHz | 2800+ | 2400+ | Celeron D 335 (2.80GHz) |
3000+(L2=512k) | - | Celeron D 340 (2.93GHz) | ||
12.5x | 2083MHz | - | 2600+ | - |
13.0x | 2167MHz | - | 2700+ | - |
13.5x | 2250MHz | - | 2800+ | - |
14.0x | 2333MHz | - | - | - |
15.0x | 2500MHz | - | - | - |
Because ()model doesn't have the product that corresponds by Athlon XP, it is a model number of approximation clock products.
OPN
This is marking of Sempron.
The definition of the OPN code is the same as Athlon XP. It is understood that the core voltage is U=1.60, and FSB is D=333 from OPN of Sempron.
Please refer to the following tables for the operation frequency of Sempron.

Multiplier
The start multiplier is fixed as well as Athlon XP.
Mobile
When L5 [2] bridge is shut, a dynamic multiplier change function can be used by CrystalCPUID.
MP
The interesting one is that this L5 [3] bridge is the same as Athlon MP. We think that we can use Sempron in a word as Athlon MP substitution.
Recognition of Sempron2500+ by CrystalCPUID
Multiplier change by CrystalCPUID
I filled L5 [2] bridge with the electroconductive paste.
Recognition changes from Sempron into Mobile Athlon XP-M by this work.
Afterwards, the multiplier was able to be changed from 3x to 11x by using Function/AMD K7/ K8 Multiplier.
pin diagram of Socket A
The pin layout is common in all SocketA CPUs.
Green: ID pin
Red: Vcc_CORE
Blue: GND
BP_FID pin of Sempron is invalid.
FID pin is also invalid.
